About FYFC Cheer:

We offer one to two teams at each level depending on interested and having the appropriate number of volunteer coaches.

A-B-C-Teams

  • A-Team: Grades 6 & 7
  • B-Team: Grades 4 & 5
  • C-Team: Grades 2 & 3
  • Registration Fee: $395

K-1 Flag

  • Grades K-1
  • Registration Fee: $340

Exhibition Cheer (Non-Comp)

  • Grades K & 1
  • Registration Fee: $200

Cheerleading is a significant time commitment. Attending practice is of the upmost importance. Athletes who do not attend practice will not be prepared to safely participate in football games and competitions. Cheerleading is a team sport. The whole team must be committed to attending practice for success on the mat.

Before registering you child, please ensure you are able to commit to the practice, football games, and competition time commitment outlined below.

Athletes in Grades K-1 on Flag:

Practice

    • Start date usually begins the first week August.
    • In August practice will be up to three nights a week from 6-8pm
    • Tentatively Practice will be held at Martha Brown Middle School
    • When school begins, practice will drop to two nights a week, location is TBD

Football Games

    • Four Football Games
    • Typically on Sundays, but may be scheduled on Saturdays
    • Games can be home or away
    • We anticipate the first football game to be the weekend before Labor Day
    • The game schedule should be available mid-August

Competitions

    • Three to Four Competitions
    • Beginning toward the end of September and go through October
    • Typically on Saturdays, but may be scheduled on Sunday

Athletes in Grades 2-7 on C, B and A Team:

All FYFC teams will use TeamSnap to communicate with parents during the season. As we get closer to our first practice, we will continue to use email and update TeamSnap with team specific practice schedules and dates of events as they become available.

A Note on Sportsmanship, Security, and Safety

Sportsmanship, security, and safety concerns have placed a higher level of scrutiny on how many teams we are able to offer for Tackle Football and Cheerleading. Our sole focus is to create a safe and fun environment for our cheerleaders to learn the fundamentals of the sport.

As a community, we expect the highest level or sportsmanlike conduct from our athletes and parents alike. By registering your child for cheer, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.

We are a competitive league and will travel to competitions throughout the greater Monroe County area.

Safety is our top priority. Please know that by registering your child to join our cheerleading teams, they may be participating in tumbling and stunting, supervised and at an age-appropriate level.

There are no try-outs for our teams. Please keep in mind that all athletes progress at different rates, and our program welcomes all at any skill level.

Again, our top priority is to ensure the kids have an amazing experience on our teams, that they have fun, and learn is a safe space. We all play a critical role in ensuring that experience for our children.

Our season is going to be amazing, and we are so excited that you are here for it.
